I am so glad the girls keep up with the little slips of paper, or else I would not remember everything we have done this month in our 25 days of family fun/activity/whatever you want to call it!
Day 14: foam gingerbread house activity
Day 15: glitter ornament activity
Day 16: take Peanut to the mall for Santa photo, and surprise lunch with neighbors (former neighbors, actually, the sweet ones that decided not to rebuild here after the tornado)
Day 17: new dvd for the girls, the Barbie mermaid one they have been bugging me about forever!
Day 18: so this was not a "door surprise" but we did have Christmas with my dad's side of the family that afternoon
Day 19: Chick-fil-a supper...okay, so this was not planned and put behind a door. But it was still a treat!
Day 20: nada (nothing, for my non-Spanish speaking amigos!)
Day 21: making pretzel treats and eating a S'mores pizza for dessert :)
So the update is about the Henson family adoption fundraiser that I am doing with my soaps (Bright Star Soaps). In three weeks, $367 has been raised! Actually, it was raised in less than 3 weeks (no sales in the past few days). If the remaining soaps sell, I will be able to give their family a check for $400! This money will go toward their home study fee which they are close to being able to send in. I am so very thankful to all of you who have supported the Hensons by buying soaps, salts, and fizz. It has also been such a blessing to me to see how the Lord is providing something for the Hensons that otherwise seemed impossible. One of our friends raised $85 for them by doing hair feathers and hair tinsel for people, and the Henson kids also collected beautiful pine cones, decorated them, and sold them to raise money. How awesome is that?! The fundraiser goes through December 31st...and then I have a new one planned for someone special in January... :)

I am so inspired by your heart. It is amazing, the gift that you're giving these families! I know that it must be so hard yet humbling to ask for money but when adoption is your plan, it's sometimes a must... I'm not brave enough to ask but I'm proud of those who are. Thanks for 'paying it forward'... you're wonderful!
